I have what?

On October 14th, 2008, my 53rd birthday I went in for a prostate biopsy recommended by my Doctor during a routine check-up. Little did I know what was in store for me. I was clueless about prostate problems and had no physical signs that anything was wrong other than a jump in my PSA number. During the week before I found out my diagnosis, my wife and I ,along with my good friends Amy&Steve went to Agua Caliente hot springs. I was not overly concerned about the result of the biopsy, and never thought I would here the words you have early stage prostate cancer. But on October 22nd that was what I found out from the Urologist who performed the biopsy. On the 24th I met with a nurse who explained the whole process from what the prostate actually is for and the different treatment processes available. I was not to keen on any of the options but decided on surgical removal of the prostate.
